Visiting with family!

We had a visit from my brother Jason, my sister Stacey and her two children today. We always look forward to them visiting. Jason lives in Florida so we do not get to see him as often as we would like but that is understandable since he lives so far away! He was on vacation so decided to take a road trip to spend time with us and his friends from Burlington. Thanks for coming to see us Uncle Jason.

Stacey and her family live only an hour and a half from us which makes it possible for us to get together often. Stacey's two boys are Joshua and Jonathan. Joshua is 5 years old and Jonathan is 3.5 months old. It is going to be so much fun having Mason and Jonathan being so close in age. They will get to grow up together and hopefully be very close buddies. We are also looking forward to having Joshua teach Mason all about tractors and trucks and to show him how to play baseball. Mason will most likely be an only child so being close to his cousins will be very important.

Thanks Stacey, Joshua, Jonathan and Jason for coming to visit us. We love you and can't wait to see you again.

Until next time....

Easter Bunny

The Easter bunny was really good to Mason on his first Easter. He left Mason lots of goodies. He got two sand buckets with shovels, a crazy car, some shakey eggs, cool sunglasses and his first set of blocks. Nana and Grandpa Glenn also gave him a glow baby and a soft fuzzy stuffed lamb. The bunny also left some chocolate with Mason’s things but put a note on it that he was to give it to mommy and mimi since they love chocolate so much!

Mason’s First Trip to the Beach

Today we took Mason to the beach for the first time. He was so cute. We had him dressed in his swim shirt and cookie monster swim trunks and he was all set. As soon as we got out on the beach we put him down, he bent down and started playing in the sand. He kept touching the ground and was looking all around. As soon as he spotted the water, he began crawling towards it. While it was in the 80’s on the beach, the water temperature was still in the 60’s since it is the first of April so it was still too cold to go swimming. After crawling a little ways, Mason laid on his tummy and started kissing the ground. It was cute and gross all at the same time. He got up, crawled a little more then decided he would take his first taste of sand! Yuck. Guess he couldn’t decide if he liked it or not since he put some in his mouth 3 or 4 times while we were there.

Mason seemed to really like his first trip to the beach. I am so looking forward to taking him again when it gets warmer. We are going to Florida for vacation but that isn’t until July. I know we will take him again before then since Nana lives so close to the beach.

Until next time….
