My nephew's preschool graduation

It is hard to believe my little nephew is already old enough to graduate from preschool. It seems like yesterday that I received the call from my sister telling me she had been admitted to the hospital and that it was time. Of course, I dropped everything that I was doing and headed to Concord because there was no way I would miss being there! I can remember Joshua’s dad, Eric, coming out to tell us he had been born and that everyone was doing well. That day was the beginning of a very special bond between me and Joshua. I have watched Joshua grow up over the last 5 years and have been very close to him. I am fortunate to live only an hour and a half away from them so it was pretty easy for me to visit them often. Being able to spend a lot of time with him was amazing. It was the medicine that I needed. I was trying to have a child about the same time that my sister had Joshua so being around him continued to give me the strength and the hope to continue pushing forward and helped me to be the mother that I am so fortunate to be today. While I would hope Joshua has learned a little from me over the last 5 years, I can guarantee that I have learned a lot more from him. He has been more of an inspiration to me than he will ever know. One day when he is old enough to understand I will share with him how much of an impact he has had on my life and how he helped me to get through all those years without my own child!

Congratulations to Joshua on his graduation from preschool. In a few months, he will go to Kindergarten and a whole new phase in his life will begin. I am proud of him and love him very much!
